A distinctive pair of vintage metal figural sculptures by Palardy, constructed from bent and welded metal and mounted on substantial rectangular metal bases.
Each sculpture depicts an elongated abstract human figure reduced to expressive, gestural lines. One figure extends its arms forward while the other assumes a leaning, contemplative pose. Visible welds and handcrafted irregularities contribute to their raw, sculptural character.
The contrast between the slender figures and heavy geometric bases gives the pair a strong Brutalist and Modernist presence. Displayed together, they form an engaging sculptural composition while retaining distinct individual personalities.
