A striking set of three vintage Ceramano Epsilon cups with matching saucers, produced in West Germany during the 1960s.
The Epsilon décor, designed by Karl Leutner, features a bold raised geometric motif finished in rich shades of olive-gold, ochre and deep chocolate brown. The low, wide cup form, substantial rounded handles and architectural pattern are wonderful examples of German Mid-Century Modern ceramic design.
Each coordinating saucer carries the geometric motif around its border, creating an especially handsome presentation when the three settings are displayed together.
One piece retains an original Ceramano paper label, a particularly nice detail for collectors.
The earthy glaze and graphic relief make this set equally appealing as functional vintage tableware or as collectible decorative objects displayed in a Mid-Century Modern interior.
Set includes: 3 cups and 3 matching saucers.
Approximate dimensions: Cups are approximately 2.5” H × 4” diameter at the opening; saucers approximately 5.75” diameter.
