While inspired by Meiji Era Asian decorative arts, such lamps are typically mid to late 20th century decorative pieces designed to add a sophisticated global eclectic flair to interior spaces. My mother would have brought it from Japan in the late 1960's. Collectors appreciate these items for their versatility in interior design, often serving as elegant accents in traditional or transitional homes with artistic appeal. It is in excellent condition, with a few minor scuff marks on the shade, which is 12.5" Wide by 9.25" Deep at the bottom. The lamp base itself is 11.5" High (up to the bulb casing, and 6" Deep from one tripod leg to another. A petite and very stately piece! See less
