Designed by Edith Heath for Heath Ceramics, this vintage stoneware pitcher possibly dates to the 1960s and features the sought-after retired Sandalwood glaze. The beautifully restrained form has a softly rounded body, integrated handle and gracefully extended pouring lip. Its warm, speckled brown exterior contrasts with the richer caramel-toned interior glaze, creating the earthy, understated palette associated with mid-century California modern design.
Made in Sausalito, California, and impressed HEATH on the underside. A handsome example of American studio pottery that works equally well as functional serveware or displayed as a sculptural decorative object. A matching Heath Sandalwood pouring bowl is also available separately.
