Handcrafted in the historic pottery hub of Morelos, Mexico during the mid-to-late 20th century, this highly decorative two-piece sculptural vessel comes complete with its matching original tumbler cup, which doubles as a protective lid when inverted over the pitcher’s narrow neck.Design & ArtistryThe carafe is expertly molded from natural, unrefined red clay (barro rojo) and features deep, hand-carved relief detailing. One side showcases an embossed profile portrait of an indigenous warrior adorned in a traditional ceremonial headdress, framed by the hand-incised city name "CUERNAVACA". The reverse side features a beautifully detailed rendering of the iconic Aztec Sun Stone calendar medallion.
