A beautifully weathered vintage terracotta planter with a substantial rounded form, thick rolled rim, textured surface, and decorative applied handles. The warm earthen terracotta is complemented by deep, naturally aged coloration around the rim and scattered areas of patina, giving the piece an authentic old-world Mediterranean character.
The planter has wonderful variation throughout the clay, including hand-worked texturing beneath the rim and a rougher finish toward the lower body. Its generous proportions make it an impressive statement planter for a Mediterranean, Tuscan, Spanish Revival, French Country, or rustic garden setting.

This is an older, heavily weathered garden piece and does show age-related wear, including surface cracks, chips/losses, abrasions, discoloration, mineral deposits and wear to the applied decorative elements. Beautiful displayed indoors or outdoors and especially striking planted with lavender, rosemary, an olive tree, or another Mediterranean-style plant.
Origin/maker is unknown. The form and finish have a Mediterranean/Tuscan aesthetic, but I would not represent it as Italian-made without a visible maker or country-of-origin mark. See less
