german american photographer, michael schachtner, began his career as an art director at saatchi & saatchi in new york, where in his first year he won a coveted cannes lion award.

since then, michael has won awards from several major advertising festivals including cannes, adc ny, clio awards and one show, and has also worked for other prestigious agencies y&r and bbh. In 2009 michael was ranked one of the top 50 young creatives in the world by the art directors club ny. Michael now focuses on his photographic work, working mostly for advertising agencies in new york.
