Elevate your dinner parties! An appealing pair of large antique English, Georgian styled silver plate and mahogany decorative wine / champagne bottle stands, dating to the Edwardian period, circa 1910. For table-side presentation of your favorite champagne, fine wine, specialty spirits, and fortified/dessert wines. Historically, these were referred to as "wine slides"; purposefully designed to slide smoothly across polished mahogany dining tables so guests could easily pass the wine around.
Accommodating of standard and magnum-sized wine, spirit, and champagne bottles. Quality silver plate presents bright tones and a polished reflection. Rim edges adorned with a chased rope effect (gadroon border). Warm caramel hues to the coaster insert, with turned concentric detail. Dressed to the base with a dark blue-green protective baize.
