The porcelain body features an exceptionally clean, brilliant white glaze serving as a canvas for vibrant, hand-painted polychrome enamels. The central motif depicts a stylized footed planter bursting with lush pink peonies, turquoise lotuses, and delicate floral branches, framed by traditional ruyi-head and diaper-pattern borders at the shoulder and foot. The vase is capped with its original conforming porcelain lid and fitted with an heavy brass arch harness that frames the upper jar. The lamp rests securely on an ornate, stepped beaded brass base. A quintessential example of 19th-century Chinoiserie taste.
Overall height top of socket 22.5" tall, the porcelain vase height 13". Shade not included. See less
