Rare collection of four English George III constabulary truncheons, circa 1760–1820, each handcrafted in turned wood and decorated with the crowned royal cypher of King George III. Of varying forms with painted black and natural wood grounds, gilt and polychrome decoration, turned handles and wrist straps, including one weighted example. A wonderfully decorative group retaining original surface, age-related wear and patina.
