A handsome late 18th-century English dresser base or serving table crafted from richly grained oak with a beautifully mellow, timeworn surface. The long plank top rests above three generously sized drawers, each retaining its original decorative brass batwing pulls and escutcheons—an especially desirable detail.
Straight square legs give the piece a clean, restrained profile, while carved scroll-form brackets add a graceful architectural flourish. Its unusually long and narrow proportions make it exceptionally versatile as a dining-room server, entry console, display table, or substantial sofa table.
The warm oak, original hardware, and centuries of acquired character give this piece the relaxed sophistication that only authentic antique furniture can bring to a room.
Wear and variations to the wood and finish are consistent with age and use and contribute to its distinctive antique character.
