An impressive 13-volume fine art library bringing together richly illustrated books on some of the world’s most celebrated artists, museums and artistic traditions. The collection includes substantial volumes devoted to Claude Monet, John Singer Sargent, Vincent van Gogh, Henri Matisse and Johannes Vermeer, complemented by museum and art-history references spanning centuries of fine art.
Among the collection are Monet: A Retrospective, John Singer Sargent, Vincent van Gogh, Matisse, Johannes Vermeer, The National Gallery of Art, Andrea Mantegna, Art and Civilization, Art History, A Basic History of Art, A History of Art & Music, Treasures from the National Museum of American Art, and The Encyclopedia of Art.
Published by respected art-book houses and institutions including Abrams, Taschen, Abbeville, Park Lane and Yale, the books feature abundant reproductions of important paintings and works of art. Several are generously scaled, oversized volumes that make the collection particularly appealing for browsing and display.
Together, the varied bindings in deep blue, black, cream, red, green and warm terracotta create the layered, collected appearance of a traditional art library. Display them vertically as a substantial bookshelf grouping, stack the larger volumes on a coffee or library table, or divide the collection throughout a room. An especially attractive choice for a library, study, living room, office or art-filled interior.
Sold as one complete collection of 13 books.
Dimensions: The complete collection measures approximately 18" wide when arranged side by side. Individual volumes range from approximately 10" to 13" high and approximately 7" to 11" deep.
