Exceptional Mid-Century Modern Brazilian sofa by Percival Lafer, featuring a beautifully crafted Brazilian rosewood frame and original cognac-colored leather upholstery. The substantial architectural frame supports generously padded, button-tufted cushions, while the cylindrical upholstered armrests add a distinctive sculptural quality.
The rich caramel leather contrasts beautifully with the dark, richly grained rosewood, creating a sophisticated combination of warmth and structure. The generous proportions and deep cushioning provide exceptional comfort while maintaining the bold, architectural character associated with Lafer's Brazilian modernist designs.
A highly desirable statement piece for a sophisticated living room, library, lounge, or executive interior. Comparable Lafer sofas from the 1960s are documented as being manufactured in Brazil by Lafer MP.
