Each cabinet consists of two stacked … Read more Pair of mid-20th-century oak architectural flat-file cabinets by Mayline Company, Inc. of Sheboygan, Wisconsin. Each cabinet consists of two stacked flat-file sections over a deeper drawer unit and matching paneled base. Original Mayline maker’s plates read “Equipment for the Modern Drafting Room.”

Designed for drafting rooms, print shops, engineering departments, and architectural offices, each cabinet provides ten broad, shallow upper drawers, two deeper side-by-side lower drawers, and one full-width bottom drawer. Long wooden pulls and black metal label holders furnish the drawer fronts, while paneled sides and warm oak grain give the utilitarian design a handsome architectural presence. One drawer retains a lock cylinder.
