This elegant and characteristically shaped set of six Art Deco chairs dates from the 1940s in Czechoslovakia and bears the unmistakable signature of prominent designer Jindřich Halabala, who created them for the renowned UP Závody. The architectural concept of the entire set is built upon a combination of solid beech wood and noble walnut veneer, with the design combining a slightly curved backrest with a generously upholstered seat in a dark burgundy tone. This sophisticated geometric interplay lends the objects captivating visual dynamics and the characteristic charm of interwar design, while the ergonomically shaped backrests and soft upholstery ensure maximum dining comfort. The set is in an original, very well-preserved state and has undergone thorough cleaning of all wooden surfaces and upholstery, fully preserving its absolute historical authenticity and collector's value. Thanks to their renowned authorship and timeless elegant appearance, these chairs serve as a highly representative element in an interior. They stand out perfectly around a large dining table in a living space, in a historically styled dining room, or as a breathtaking design ensemble in a space emphasizing top-tier 20th-century Czechoslovak furniture design. This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no
official proof of authenticity,
