the lightweight structure is constructed from bent cane and wicker, with five integrated coat hooks and a generous upper shelf for hats and accessories. Particularly attractive are the hand-wrapped joints and decorative bindings, which make the traditional basketry construction an integral part of the design.

úluv played an important role in post-war czechoslovak design, bringing traditional craft techniques and natural materials into contemporary interiors. Designer jaroslav procházka was responsible for much of the organisation's furniture and wicker-related output during this period, while jan kalous is also associated with documented úluv rattan furniture. We have not, however, found archival documentation confirming the designer of this particular model and therefore prefer to attribute the piece to úluv rather than to an individual designer.
