Wonderful original vintage Metalcraft Sunshine Biscuits advertising stake truck, dating to approximately the 1930s.
This early American pressed-steel toy features a red cab and chassis with contrasting blue open stake-style delivery body. Both sides retain the attractive yellow “Sunshine Biscuits” advertising lettering. The truck has metal disc wheels and an embossed silver-colored radiator/grille.
Measures approximately 12 inches long x 4.5 inches high x 4.5 inches wide.
Estate fresh with a particularly appealing old original-looking surface. There is scattered paint loss, scratching, oxidation, fading, surface wear and other expected signs of age and play. The wheels and exposed metal components show oxidation and discoloration. No attempt has been made to clean, polish, repaint or restore the truck.
