Nothing is added to it and nothing is concealed.

The glass is a warm bronze, an amber-toned Italian glass that catches the light and softens it. Visually far lighter than stone, it gives the piece presence without mass, and the interlocking structure beneath reads straight through the material itself. Within the collection the glass is the lightest register Lebanto works in, a counterweight to the stone. It is worked to the same tolerances as the stone tops, so the edges read as line rather than thickness and the piece keeps its clarity from every angle.

Nothing about the making is concealed. Two panels of glass interlock at right angles into a self-supporting cross-leg base, the join legible straight through the material, so structure and surface are the same thing.

Low in its demands and clear in its intent, the bronzed glass lounge table sits in front of a sofa without asking for attention. The Noor is an Italian lounge table made to order in Cantù, in Lombardy's long-established furniture district, drawn from full-slab stone, solid timber, and premium Italian glass. See less
