The upholstery is Dedar Ur from Dedar, the celebrated Italian textile house, a name the trade knows on sight. Beneath it the frame is solid European oak, smoked to a deep brown, its joinery the same architectural language as the tables. The textile is woven in Italy and specified for its hand as much as its colour. Made up over the oak frame in Cantù, it gives the piece its one soft surface while the structure beneath stays as exact as the tables.

Beneath the upholstery, a solid oak frame does the structural work, its members interlocking at right angles so the joinery reads as part of the form rather than something hidden away.

Quiet and composed, the upholstered oak pouf holds a room without demanding it, as at ease in a living space as anywhere. The Kuna is an Italian pouf made to order in Cantù, in Lombardy's long-established furniture district, drawn from full-slab stone, solid timber, and premium Italian glass. See less
