Wonderful matched pair of antique Arts & Crafts three-light candelabras, dating to approximately the early 20th century.
Each is constructed from hand-hammered brass with an unusual architectural design consisting of three sweeping graduated strap-form arms rising from a broad rectangular hammered base. Each arm terminates in a hand-formed square candle cup. The arms are secured at the base with visible riveted construction, giving the pair a particularly attractive handcrafted Arts & Crafts / Mission appearance.
The pair measures approximately 10.5 inches long x 8 inches high x 4 inches deep each.
Both are unmarked examples bearing no visible maker’s mark, they are being offered simply as antique Arts & Crafts candelabras without a definitive maker attribution.
Estate fresh with a wonderful old surface and patina. There is finish wear, oxidation, discoloration, rubbing and other expected signs of age and use. Some areas of the original warmer brass-colored surface remain visible beneath the darker aged patina. No attempt has been made to polish or restore them.
