Expertly crafted from solid wood, each candlestick features a classical urn-inspired silhouette elevated by a strictly modernist color palette. The bodies are finished in a subtle, creamy off-white lacquer, beautifully punctuated by sharp, matte black lacquered accents along the wide rim, the delicate banding, and the tiered square bases. This sophisticated interplay of light and dark forms highlights their strong architectural presence and sculptural volume, turning a functional lighting accessory into an arresting decorative statement. Originating from Italy during the height of the Art Deco movement, these candleholders perfectly capture the transition between traditional European craftsmanship and the sleek, stylized aesthetic of the early twentieth century. The generous, wide top basins are designed to accommodate pillar candles or substantial tapers, while the weighted square bases ensure sturdy balance. Displaying a beautiful, authentic vintage character with minor surface wear and a light, natural patina to the lacquer, this pair remains in wonderful vintage condition. They offer an effortless way to bring a touch of vintage Italian glamour, historical charm, and timeless monochrome sophistication to a mantel, console table, or dining centerpiece. See less
