I had always assumed that Stanley Roberts was an individual designer but my research has shown that actually....
Stanley Roberts is not an individual designer, but rather a mid-century tabletop brand. The importing company (Stanley Roberts, Inc.) was founded by Charles Freeman in 1956...
and was based in the United States in 1956, naming the company after family names.
By the 1960s and early 1970s, it grew into one of the largest importers of stainless steel flatware and holloware in the United States.
