The glass is a warm bronze, an amber-toned Italian glass that catches the light and softens it. Visually far lighter than stone, it gives the piece presence without mass, and the interlocking structure beneath reads straight through the material itself. Within the collection the glass is the lightest register Lebanto works in, a counterweight to the stone. It is worked to the same tolerances as the stone tops, so the edges read as line rather than thickness and the piece keeps its clarity from every angle.

Nothing about the making is concealed. Two panels of glass interlock at right angles into a self-supporting cross-leg base, the join legible straight through the material, so structure and surface are the same thing.

Quiet and composed, the bronzed glass coffee table holds a room without demanding it, as at ease in front of a sofa as anywhere.
