Its presence is architectural rather than decorative, the travertine left to lead while the base beneath it works quietly.

Titanium travertine shares the layered, sedimentary character of its Roman cousin in a cooler register, its banding running from silver through to charcoal rather than warm beige. It reads as grey and contemporary, a travertine at home in monochrome and pared-back rooms. These tops are cut from natural stone, and no two of these Titanium travertine coffee tables are ever quite the same.

The structure is shown rather than hidden. Two panels of the same stone are notched at right angles and slotted one through the other into an interlocking cross-leg base, with no bracket and no metal to break the line.
