Made in the german democratic republic and attributed to the deutsches hygiene-museum dresden (gdr label present), c. 1950s-1960s, as a school and medical teaching aid.

hand-painted composition material (plaster-based) on a metal base. The model retains its original hand-painted finish with fine anatomical detailing; the removable organs are complete and fit precisely into the torso. A striking example of post-war east german scientific modelling, equally at home in a study, a surgery or a collector's cabinet.

condition: very good vintage condition, minor professional retouching to paint. Dimensions: h 78 x w 32 x d 26 cm. Weight approx. 10-12 kg. This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no
