Artemide’s Tizio table lamp is a piece of global design history: designed by Richard Sapper in 1972, the recipient of numerous awards throughout the 1970s and 1980s, and a staple on desks and in homes across the globe, Tizio is a masterpiece of balanced forms and technological ingenuity. The arms and head, made of painted aluminium, are adjustable and balanced by counterweights. Designed over 50 years ago, Tizio features a jointed system that is kept in constant balance by counterweights and is based on a revolutionary structure that supports the head whilst simultaneously powering the light source.
