Presenting a magnificent and highly collectible vintage Chinese Xiangqi (Chinese Chess) set. Crafted from solid, natural ox horn, each piece features a beautiful translucent amber and caramel hue, showcasing the characteristic natural striations and grain of aged horn.

The set includes 32 pieces (16 red and 16 black), all carved with traditional Chinese characters in an archaic seal script style. The engraved characters are filled with red and black pigments, creating a striking contrast against the polished horn. These are large, substantial pieces, measuring 5.5cm in diameter. The set comes beautifully presented in a high-quality grey linen-textured box with a vibrant golden-yellow silk lining.
