Pair of tall vertical nude studies in cerulean and slate — the same standing figure seen front and back, so the two panels read as one continuous turn. Luminous blue over a near-black ground with a heavy granular texture; the light comes from inside the figure rather than from any source you can point to. Long gestural contour lines run past the body edge and off the panel, which is what keeps them from settling into decoration.

Monogram in the upper right of the front-facing panel.

Flush, frameless, no glass — nothing to break, nothing to reflect. Custom float-mounted in 2005: board-on-board on matched slate-gray panels with a fine silver bevel liner, braced on a wood strainer. Framer's work order label intact on the back.

Overall 60½" high × 15¾" wide each. Art panels 54½" × 9½". See less
