This vintage wall sculpture was designed and executed by artist Stephen Chun during the 1970s. The piece is constructed with multi-textured brass and copper elements layered over a textured, brushed gold field supported by a hardwood plywood backing. Its geometric design features torch-cut tubular clusters, radiating sunburst squares, ribbed stepped triangles, and concentric circular forms. The composition exhibits stylistic elements characteristic of the brutalist, mid-century modern, and space age design movements. The structural configuration features a mirrored, inverted layout that permits either a vertical or horizontal hanging orientation. Currently wired to hang vertically but easily adjusted. Minor wear, metal impressions commensurate with age - please see photos and video. Display ready art object.
