Each colorful illustration bears its original printed nursery-rhyme caption and page reference beneath the image: “Jack and Jill (page 201),” “Little Bo-Peep (page 127),” and “Little Boy Blue (page 181).” The illustrations appear to have originated as book plates or pages from an early nursery-rhyme publication and have subsequently been professionally presented as decorative artwork.

The trio is beautifully unified by matching ornate gilt-finished frames with cream matting. Soft colors, pastoral scenes and traditional storybook imagery give the collection wonderful period character.

Displayed together, the three pieces create an especially appealing small gallery wall. Their scale and subject matter make the set particularly well suited to a nursery, child’s bedroom, playroom or traditionally styled family interior.
