A striking vintage Herend porcelain figural group titled “Farewell,” model No. 5506, designed by Hungarian sculptor János Pásztor.
The expressive composition depicts two men in traditional Hungarian attire exchanging a farewell handshake. Beautifully modeled and entirely hand-painted, the figures wear sweeping cloaks embellished with colorful Hungarian folk-inspired floral decoration in rich shades of blue, red, yellow and green.
The sculpture is particularly beautiful viewed from the reverse, where the intricate floral decoration across both cloaks showcases Herend's celebrated hand-painting.
The underside bears the blue Herend Hungary factory mark together with the impressed HEREND 5506 model designation.

Condition: Pristine vintage condition with no chips, cracks, repairs or restoration. Beautifully preserved hand-painted decoration and glossy porcelain finish.
