Pair of vintage Kandido table lamps designed by F.A. Porsche for Luci Italia in the 1980s. Both are marked Luci and Made in Italy on the base.
These have such a cool architectural look, with triangular black bases, three slender chrome telescoping rods and matching triangular tops. The rods adjust in height, so the lamps can sit fairly compact on a desk or table or extend much taller for a completely different look. The light portion can also be positioned, making them surprisingly versatile for such a sculptural design.
These look great as a pair with the heights staggered like shown in the photos. They have that very clean, industrial Italian look from the 1980s without taking up much visual space, and they would be great on separate side tables, a console, desk or even displayed together.
Designed by Ferdinand Alexander Porsche for Luci Italia. Kandido model, dating to approximately 1983. The documented construction includes a cast aluminum base, chrome telescopic supports and black plastic components with a low-voltage halogen light.
Condition: Both lamps have been tested and are in working condition. Both lamps are in good vintage condition with light wear from age and use. There are some very light surface scratches and scuffs to the black bases and upper portions. The underside markings also show some age and surface wear. No obvious cracks, broken rods or major damage, and the adjustable components are completely intact. Please review all photos closely for condition.
