A striking vintage Herend porcelain cachepot in the celebrated Queen Victoria pattern, featuring beautifully hand-painted butterflies, colorful flowers and foliage accented by rich gold detailing.
The classically inspired vessel has a dramatically flared rim and rests upon four sculptural gilded paw feet set on a square pedestal base. Its generous scale and whimsical butterfly decoration make it a wonderful statement piece for a console, mantel, library or collected traditional interior.
Made in Hungary and bearing the Herend factory mark to the underside. Form 6401/VBO.

Condition:
Very good vintage condition with no chips or cracks. There is age-related wear and loss to portions of the gold gilding, most noticeably along the pedestal base and other high-contact areas, as shown in the photographs. Hand-painted decoration remains vibrant and beautifully preserved. Vintage wear is consistent with age and contributes to the character of the piece.
