The long sequence of doors and drawers gives this sideboard by Bertil Fridhagen a rigorous rhythm, tempered by the warmth and grain of the teak. The front is almost devoid of applied elements: its main feature is the recessed handles of the four drawers, carved directly into the wood and transformed into a graphic detail. The tall legs lighten the volume, while the four doors enclose two compartments with shelves. Designed for Bodafors, the sideboard embodies Fridhagen's approach to Swedish modernism, where precision construction, measured proportions, and the quality of the wood become the expressive elements of the piece.
