Solid elm frames with hand-woven rush seats — sturdy, beautifully made, and unmistakably part of the French modernist-rustic lineage that runs from Charlotte Perriand's mountain interiors through to Regain's own workshop. The backrests are the detail worth looking at: shaped and pegged rather than simply slatted, with a wave cut through the two rails. The elm has kept a luminous honey tone that lifts a dining space rather than weighing it down. Finding six matching Regain chairs together is genuinely uncommon. See less
