Designed by Austrian metal artist Kurt Jesch, this pair of brass candleholders transforms a continuous flowing line into a functional object. Rising from broad circular bases, each stem bends and twists before opening into a shallow candle cup, creating a composition that feels balanced from every angle.
The elegance of the design lies in its restraint. Rather than relying on ornament, the movement of the brass itself defines the form, allowing light, shadow and negative space to become part of the object. A soft patina has developed across the surface over time, enriching the warmth of the metal while preserving the clarity of the design. This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no
official proof of authenticity,
however it is well documented in design history. I take full responsibility for any authenticity
