What makes this table is the base: four bobbin-turned legs on a full plinth, with a sculptural presence you rarely find at this scale. The oak is dense and has taken on a warm, deep patina, which we have restored and brought back rather than stripped away. Honest condition notes: the top opens at the centre but the original leaves are no longer with it, and the wood has moved over the years so the central split does not close completely. A centrepiece, built for long tables and full rooms. See less
