The beech frames are finished in a deep red lacquer, with a gently curved crest rail that continues into shaped armrests on turned supports. Front legs are cylindrical and taper slightly toward the floor, joined to a simple rectangular seat frame.

Each seat is woven in rush, laid in a herringbone pattern that contrasts with the lacquered wood. The backrest sits low and open, giving the chair a light, compact profile well suited to both dining and occasional use.
