The … Read more Octagonal Italian dining table dating from the late 1970s to early 1980s, executed in black-stained wood and natural cork. The generously sized tabletop is inlaid with individual sections of cork, creating a lively surface in warm beige and earthy tones. A black octagonal inlay at the centre echoes the shape of the tabletop and creates a strong graphic contrast with the rounded black wooden edge. The table rests on a substantial central pedestal base, also finished in black-stained wood, providing plenty of legroom around the table. An appealing combination of natural materials and geometric detailing. In good vintage condition with signs of use consistent with age, including a nicely developed patina to the cork. See less
