A wonderful and very stylish sideboard in teak, designed by burchardt nielsen and h.p. Hansen for the danish furniture manufacturer dyrlund in the 1960s.
with a length of only 160 cm, the sideboard has an unusually neat and easy-to-place format. Many danish sideboards from the same period are around two meters or longer, making this a very nice alternative for those looking for generous storage without the furniture taking over the room.
the entire piece of furniture is made of teak with a warm and vibrant tone. The softly rounded edges and well-balanced proportions give the sideboard a harmonious and exclusive expression. The front consists of two practical sliding doors with four drawers placed in the middle. Both sliding doors and drawers have very well-made, integrated handles that become a decorative part of the furniture's design.
behind the sliding doors are two spacious storage spaces with a shelf in each cabinet. The shelves can be both moved and removed, making it easy to adapt the storage to your own wishes. The inside of the sideboard is also lavish and made of teak, which clearly testifies to the high quality of the furniture.
the sliding doors are both beautiful and practical because they do not require any extra space in front of the furniture when opened. This makes the sideboard particularly easy to place even in narrower rooms and passages.
in the middle are four spacious and solidly made wooden drawers. The integrated handles are carefully designed and give the front its characteristic and elegant expression.
despite its neat format, the sideboard offers very good storage options. The dimensions also make it excellent for use as a media unit, and by moving the shelves upwards, the cabinets can provide plenty of space for vinyl records.
a formidable danish sideboard that combines function, exclusive craftsmanship and timeless aesthetics. The classic design language means that the piece of furniture fits just as well in a modern home as it does with older furniture and decor.
