A very beautiful and stylish teak dining table with a lovely rich colour tone, manufactured by the Danish company C.J. Rosengaarden during the 1960s.
The table is round in its original design and creates a cozy and pleasant place where everyone around the table can easily see and talk to each other. The round shape fits just as well in a kitchen as in a dining room and gives the room a soft and well-balanced expression.
The table top is made of teak with a beautiful grain and a warm, rich tone. An extremely thin and elegant frieze runs around the table top, framing the wood and giving the table an exclusive and elaborate appearance. The same fine framing is repeated on the extension leaves, creating a harmonious whole when the table is extended.
The table comes with two extension leaves, each 50 cm long. They can be used individually or together, making the table very easy to adapt to both company and occasion. with one extension leaf, the table takes on a soft oval shape, and with both leaves in place, it achieves an impressive total length of 220 cm with room for around eight to ten people.
One of the extension leaves has the same edge as the table. This gives a cohesive and furniture-like expression even when only one leaf is used and shows the great care that has been taken in both function and aesthetics.
The table stands on four slender legs with an elegant triangular profile. The legs taper downwards and connect very nicely to the rounded table edge. The elaborate shape gives the table a light and airy character while the construction is stable and well-balanced.
This is a very useful dining table that can easily be transformed from an intimate round table to a generous long table. The timeless design makes it fit equally well in modern homes as in more classic interiors and together with furniture from different eras.
The legs can be easily dismantled for easier transport.
In very good condition with very few signs of use. See pictures.
