A fantastic Danish teak dining table from the 1960s – a real gem for the conscious interior designer! The table combines the clean and timeless design of Danish modernism with a very practical construction that makes it easy to adapt to both everyday life and parties.
The table is round in its original design and creates a cozy and pleasant place where everyone around the table can easily see and talk to each other. The soft shape makes the table easy to place and fits just as nicely in a kitchen as in a larger dining room.
The thin and slender table top is made of teak with a beautiful grain and a warm, rich color tone. An elegant frieze runs around the edge of the top that frames the wood and gives the table an exclusive and well-crafted expression. The same beautiful framing is repeated on the two extension leaves, which creates a harmonious whole when the table is extended.
The table comes with two extension leaves, each 49.5 cm long. They can be used individually or together, as needed. with one leaf in place, the table takes on a soft oval shape, and with both leaves inserted, it achieves a generous total length of 221 cm with room for about eight to ten people.
The extension leaves snap together with eccentric locks, which provides a stable and sturdy tabletop even when the table is fully extended. The well-thought-out design makes it easy to quickly transform the table from an intimate place for a small breakfast to a spacious dining table for dinners with family, relatives and friends.
The table stands on four round and tapered legs that are mounted on the outside against the frame. The placement and slim design of the legs give the table a light and elegant expression, while the construction feels solid and well-balanced. They can be easily dismantled for easier transport.
The table has undergone a careful renovation where the beautiful luster and natural character of the teak have been restored. The result is an elegant and durable finish that makes the table ready to be used and appreciated for many years to come.
The timeless design makes the table fit equally well in modern homes as in more classic interiors. A very solid and useful dining table with great flexibility – from the small everyday meal to the large dinner with many guests.
In absolutely top condition with very few signs of use. See pictures.
