Lightweight, two-tier structure with teak tops and slender, slanted mahogany legs, punctuated by exposed screw joints. Swedish production, 1950s.
Scandinavian coffee table from the 1950s in teak and mahogany, featuring a two-tier structure supported by slender, slanted legs, secured laterally with exposed screws. The essential design and meticulous construction reflect the functional approach of postwar Scandinavian modernism. The design derives from the radioboard, created to house the home radio and a testament to how Nordic design accompanied the introduction of new technologies into everyday life in the 1950s. Good condition. May show signs of aging. Please refer to the photographs carefully.
