a refined freestanding example with four drawers, sculpted wooden pulls and original tapered legs.

unlike the suspended storage cabinets associated with the fm shelving system, this example was produced as a freestanding piece. It shows no mounting cut-outs or later alterations associated with conversion from a wall-mounted module.

the chest remains in its original vintage configuration, preserving its original finish, fittings and legs without later structural modifications.

importantly, the original feldballes møbelfabrik / fm manufacturer label is preserved on the piece, supporting its manufacturer attribution.

the compact proportions and expressive grain make this a particularly attractive example of danish modern cabinetmaking from the period.
