Giancarlo Vegni and Gianfranco Gualtierotti designed the S44 during the 1980s for Fasem, a furniture maker in Tuscany.
The chairs are designed around a steel frame with full grain leather pulled tight and smooth across the seat and back, an idea similar to Mario Bellini's Cab chairs for Cassina from the same era.
These chairs have developed a warm, rich patina over time that make each of these chairs unique in their own way.

Origination: Italy, 1980s, stamped by producer on underside
Condition: Very good. The chairs have been cleaned and checked. They are ready for daily use.
