He was recognized as an Honorary Member of the Russian Academy of Arts in 2022.

This original, signed and dated 2000 oil painting is a substantial example of Ivanov’s distinctive figurative work. The reverse retains the artist’s handwritten Cyrillic title, “Танцы кончились” (“The Dances Are Over”), along with the medium notation “Х. М.” (oil on canvas) and the canvas size, 60 × 80 cm. These original inscriptions provide useful documentation for the work.

Ivanov’s paintings are held in public and private collections, including the Republican Museum of Fine Arts in Yoshkar-Ola and the A. Glezer Museum of Contemporary Russian Art in the United States. His market is comparatively limited, with relatively few works appearing at public auction, making documented, signed examples particularly appealing to collectors of contemporary Russian figurative art.

The work is offered as an original painting by Boris Mikhailovich Ivanov, signed and dated “Б. Иванов 2000.” Please review all photographs of the signature, reverse inscriptions, canvas, and condition carefully. Additional images are available upon request.
