The table measures approximately 40"W x 20"D x 29½"H when closed and incorporates a hinged 20" extension section plus three matching 12" leaves, allowing it to expand to approximately 76" in length when fully extended.

What makes this table particularly interesting is its sophisticated traditional woodworking and ingenious extension mechanism. The leaves are supported by substantial dovetailed wooden extension runners, while the hinged section incorporates a swing-out gate support and the fully extended configuration utilizes an additional supporting leg. A spring-operated release mechanism with pull ring is incorporated into the underside. The complete mechanism is present and functional.

The table has an attractive warm mahogany-colored finish, shaped ends, molded perimeter edges, and restrained Federal/Colonial Revival styling.
