The lamp’s substantial rounded silhouette is formed by a series of raised horizontal bands that taper toward a compact circular base. Its most distinctive feature is the elaborate collar, where large upright scallop shells rise above a complete lower border of smaller cockle shells.

The body appears to be constructed from a molded composite material and retains its original distressed antique-ivory finish. Warm sand, taupe, and softly aged gray tones settle naturally into the recessed ornamentation, while scattered darker areas of rub-through lend the surface an authentic timeworn character. The resulting palette beautifully complements coastal, Mediterranean, organic-modern, and collected traditional interiors.

This version is presented with the lamp’s original oversized ivory linen drum shade. Measuring 17 inches across both the top and bottom and 12 inches high, the true cylindrical shade gives the lamp a relaxed, substantial presence. A large aged-brass globe finial provides a handsome finishing accent and coordinates with the brass-tone harp and socket assembly.

The lamp is equipped with a three-way switch and a later, relatively modern electrical cord. Its exceptionally wide 15-inch urn body gives it considerably more visual presence than a conventional table lamp, making it especially effective on a large console, substantial nightstand, entry table, sideboard, or living-room end table.
