The kneeling figure is viewed predominantly from behind, rendered with fluid, economical line and expressive shading. Strong sweeping contours define the back, hip and folded leg, while softer worked areas give the figure depth and sculptural presence. The drawing retains the immediacy of a studio life study, combining bold dark passages with lighter gestural marks and areas of exposed paper. Signed c.
