This is beautifully reflected in this VM216 wall coat rack, designed in the 1960s for the Danish company Vildbjerg Møbelfabrik. The coat rack is built around a wide teak wood back panel. from this, two curved wooden supports emerge, carrying the long clothes rail and the shelf above. Below the rail, three small round knobs are positioned for coats, bags, or other accessories. The construction is practical yet never heavy. It is particularly the way the supports, rail, and rounded edges flow into one another that gives the design its serene appearance. The top shelf offers ample space for hats, scarves, or smaller accessories. Clothes hangers can be hung on the rail without resting directly against the back panel. This coat rack comes with two matching vintage teak wood clothes hangers with brass hooks. The curved shape of the hangers complements the design of the coat rack itself beautifully.

with a width of 90 cm, the VM216 offers considerable space while remaining relatively compact against the wall. This makes it suitable not only for a hallway or wardrobe but also for a bedroom, for example. The back of the coat rack features the original Vildbjerg Møbelfabrik mark, Made in Denmark. The original mounting points are also present, allowing the coat rack to be mounted flush against the wall. In our workshop, we have carefully inspected and treated the teak wood. As a result, the warm color and grain of the wood are beautifully visible again, without detracting from the character of the original material. The coat rack is in very neat vintage condition and is ready for immediate use.
